Our beautiful Kantha bedcovers are 100% cotton on fabric that has been block-printed with elegant timeless patterns and then quilted with a fine running stitch. Kantha is a type of embroidery that has originated in the state of Bengal and Orissa and done mostly in villages. This intricate embroidery covers almost the entire fabric surface with a running stitch and holds a few layers of fabric together creating a gorgeous texture. The edges are finished with a criss-cross stitch.
